I feel so weird when I put on eyeshadow and such I guess I'm just not accustomed to seeing my face look like a rainbow. I'm sure I'm not doing it right. I should probably watch some youtube videos.Split3wayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00946363708502942132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4238450237706418395.post-4907845592321284372012-11-01T14:18:39.174-07:002012-11-01T14:18:39.174-07:00Jane, it's funny you say you dress up to pleas...Jane, it's funny you say you dress up to please yourself. I totally get what you mean. It's weird to me that when I'm not feeling good in general that is the day I will do more with myself. It's as if I look better I will somehow feel better. It must work because I continue to do it. As far as Ryan...I truly believe he doesn't notice if I'm in my pajamas or an evening gown. As far as blending in with the crowd, never really been my thing. I inherited my mother's eyebrows (which means all but the inner part of them disappeared completely about 15 years ago, so if I don't draw them on, I look like a freak of nature). Since I was a teenager, I have had pores the size of basketballs on and around my nose, so that's GOT to get covered up. And my skin is so pale that if I don't whip out a little encouragement (foundation / blush), I look like a character from "Dark Shadows." Apparently I do apply it all well though. A student told one of my teachers just yesterday that "Ms. Parker does NOT wear makeup. She doesn't need it!" I just about cracked up. If they had any idea what a hag I look like without it, they'd be in shock.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12115799338400018357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4238450237706418395.post-18965797051955521752012-10-19T03:37:37.204-07:002012-10-19T03:37:37.204-07:00i'm kind of a tomboy too, so i know what you m...i'm kind of a tomboy too, so i know what you mean. i wear minimal makeup, less on the weekends, and when i wear a dress to work they think it's a national emergency. but i wear a lot of jewelry cause i like it, and i buy fancy purses and cowboy boots cause i like them. if You Want to make some changes, do them to please you (or Mr. Hehir), not to try to blend in with the crowd. who wants to blend anyway. pick something you like and highlight that, and if that stuff doesn't interest you, then don't worry about it. i'm always unhappy when I don't like the way i look, so i dress to please myself. i think that's the way to go. but just from chats i've had with your fellow, i know he's all about you having whatever you want, so when you do decide on something, go for it!!! :) janenoreply@blogger.com
